We really are blessed to have such a concerned, strong member base and leadership group to keep our pristine grounds maintained for future generations to enjoy. We want to thank all of our loyal members that renewed their memberships and welcome all our new members to the oldest continuing green organization in Michiana.

Your badges will be mailed shortly and you should receive them soon. There was a slight delay this year. Please be patient, and don’t hesitate to enjoy the IKES before your badge arrives! It’s never too late to join or renew!

Two words to every member: Get Involved! Visit the IKES as often as you can, come out to the events that we offer, join the Board of Directors, and volunteer your time and resources to help perpetuate our environmental mission. Every contribution makes a difference! Please make an effort to attend our dinner/programs.

Stan Klaybor Scholarship Award

scholarship in honor of the late great Stan Klaybor.

Upcoming Events

Want a guided tour of the grounds? We will be hosting tours on the fourth Sunday of each month from 2-4 P.M. Come out with your hiking gear and meet at the lodge. Tours start on Sunday, March 20th.

Save the date of Saturday, June 6th. That’s our annual “Let’s Go Fishing Day”. Bait, tackle, food and refreshments provided.

In light of the Coronovirus, we will be canceling the Wednesday, March 18th dinner.

We are still planning on the tree give away on April 29th.

Please Join us on Friday, February 14th for a Valentine’s Day Dinner & Dance from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.

A mere $20 will buy a delicious Prime Rib & Pork Loin dinner with dessert. A DJ will be on hand for those wanting to dance! Beer/wine will be available.

FREE DINNER, REFRESHMENTS, and TOYS for the kids at the IKES!

Santa is coming to the IKES on Wednesday, December 11th from 6-8 P.M. He has gifts for all the good boys and girls along with FREE Hot Dogs, Fries, Hot Chocolate, Cider and Cookies for the whole family. Come join the fun! This free event is being held to honor our valued members. Without you, we could not survive as an organization. Please come on out the 11th for some great food and presents for the kids or grand kids!Reservations are recommended but not required by calling272-3660. Give us a Jingle and visit Kris Kringle!

For the last 78 years, our Izaak Walton chapter has hosted the Feather Party as our single most important fundraising event of the year. This year, we are rebranding it as the "Fall Festival" (although it might feel a little bit more like winter at the moment) to encourage the entire family to come along for the festivities.

Don't worry! There will plenty of opportunities to win your Thanksgiving Turkey as well as a silent auction, guessing games and other fun for everyone. The event is on Friday, November 15th from 6-9 pm at the clubhouse and children and families are encouraged! 

Cost is only $10 and includes a sausage dinner. Kids can enter for free but will be charged $10 if they want a sausage dinner. Drinks beyond water, tea, and coffee will be available for an extra cost at the cash bar.

We need your help!
We spent $45,000 on our new driveway and $10,000 on the caretaker's house this year. We are trying to offset these costs. You can help in many ways. We need silent auction item donations, tax exempt monetary donations, and most importantly come and HAVE FUN with the whole family, guests and friends. 

If you have an item you would like to donate to the auction, volunteers for the event are planning to be at IWL at about 6:30 pm on Thursday, Nov 14 to set-up for the event and to review the items donated for the silent auction.  This would be a good time to bring your donated silent-auction item to IWL.  Also, if anyone would like to help with the event, that would be a good time to come to IWL to help us get ready for the event.
