Dine & Learn - March 20, Spring Reptiles and Amphibians
/We welcome back Mr. Garry Harrington to the IKES on Wednesday, March 20th. Mr. Harrington, director of the Rum Village Nature Center, will present a program rich in detail describing the species of reptiles and amphibians we may encounter as Spring finally approaches.
Garry will be bringing along some live examples including a fox snake, tiger salamander, eastern box turtle, toads and more. Garry is a well versed naturalist and will field any questions you might have. This will be a great family event so be sure to bring the kids (free hot dogs) and a guest.
Dinner starts at 6:30 P.M. Program starts at 7:30 P.M.
Menu: corned beef and cabbage with the trimmings
Cost: $9 adults free hot dogs for the kids!
Please call in your reservations by Mon. March 18th at 272-3660. We need an accurate count for the caterer.

We really are blessed to have such a concerned, strong member base and leadership group to keep our pristine grounds maintained for future generations to enjoy. We want to thank all of our loyal members that renewed their memberships and welcome all our new members to the oldest continuing green organization in Michiana. Your badges have been mailed out and you should receive them soon. It’s never too late to join or renew!
Two words to every member: Get Involved! Visit the IKES as often as you can, come out to the events that we offer, join the Board of Directors and volunteer your time and resources to help perpetuate our environmental mission.

feature top notch speakers like Garry Harrington on March 20th. Our ever popular tree seedling give away in April will be Wednesday, April 17th. Please wear your badge at all times and obey the ground rules. Feel free to contact anyone below with questions.
Honeysuckle Eradication Volunteers Needed
Matthew Klaybor has taken on the challenge of opening up the road around the 3rd pond by eradicating the Honeysuckle bushes that have chocked it out. He has work parties planned on Saturday, March 16th and 23rd from 10-2. Lunch will be provided. Please wear rugged clothing. Bring your chain saw, rake or loppers if you want. This is a great

Upcoming Archery Events
