Let’s Go Fishing

We are pleased to announce “Let’s Go Fishing!” on Saturday, June 1st from 9 A.M. -3 P.M. Bring the kids and grandkids! Enjoy an afternoon fishing for bass and bluegills at the ponds. Just a beginner and don’t have gear? No problem. We will be on hand to teach fishing techniques and share bait and tackle. Cookout and refreshments will be provided.

Meet at the ponds! This is an Indiana Free Fishing day, so no license is required.

Note From President

Please attend our final dinner/program of the Spring on May 15th. There will be an exciting program featuring our own John Manuszak on gardening. Our 23rd annual Stan Klaybor scholarship recipient, Niveah Marshall, will be honored that evening as well. In our often uncertain world, it is always a breath of fresh air to honor and give a head start to our future environmental leaders.

Speaking of giving, special thanks to those who participated in our open house on April 20th. We handed out over 600 tree seedlings to the public and members. We had many eager tree planters visit the IKES!

Another gift for our members! The Whistle Pigs are coming back! Mark August 17th on your calendar for our Annual hog roast. Cover charge for the band is FREE for all IKE members.
